In a scenic location in Prein an der Rax, at the foot of the Raxalpe and 6 km from the centre of Reichenau, Scharfegger's Raxalpenhof - Zuhause am Land features a large spa area with an indoor and an outdoor pool. Free WiFi is available in public areas.

The Rax Cable Car is a 10-minute drive away and guests get free tickets or reduced tickets during certain periods. On request, a transfer shuttle at certain times to the cable car is also offered. The Semmering Ski Area can be reached in a 25-minute drive.
